Your site speaks to what share of the internet?
Enter your website's address and we find the languages it is published in, or pick them yourself. You get a reach score, the languages that would add the most readers, and a link to share.
How it works
We find your languages
From your home page's hreflang links, its <html lang> and its language switcher. If none of that is there, from the text itself.
We add up the readers
Each language's share of the world's internet users, counting each person once, by their main language.
We suggest what's next
The three languages you don't have yet that would reach the most people.
You share the result
The result has its own link, made of your languages only (never your address), with a card for X and LinkedIn.
Questions and answers
Where do the numbers come from?
The ten largest languages come from Internet World Stats' estimate of internet users by language (March 2020, 4.59 billion users). The other languages are our own estimate on the same base: population times internet use in the countries where each language is mainly spoken. The full table and sources are on the languages of the internet page.
Why is English only about 26%?
Each person is counted once, by their main language. Many more people read English as a second language, so a site in English reaches more people than its score says. The score is a comparison between languages, not a precise head count.
Which languages should I add first?
Usually the ones your customers search in. If you serve the whole world, Chinese, Spanish and Arabic add the most people after English. If you sell in Europe, German, French and Italian are the usual next steps.
How does FolioPress help?

Do you store my address?
We keep the detected languages for a day so the same check is instant. The share link contains only language codes, never your address.
