FolioPress vs Weglot
Weglot translates a website you already have. Its Business plan costs €29 a month for 50,000 words and 3 languages, and words are counted once per language. Translated addresses only start on the €79 Pro plan, and when you reach the word limit new content stops being translated until you upgrade. FolioPress costs €19 a month for every language, website included, with no word count and translated addresses on both plans.
FolioPress vs Squarespace
Squarespace has no built-in multilingual mode: its help pages send you to Weglot or to duplicating pages by hand. That means two subscriptions, about €41 a month for 3 languages, and about €91 once you want translated addresses.
FolioPress vs Wix
Wix Multilingual gives each language its own page address and adds hreflang. Its AI translation runs on word credits: 3,000 free, then paid packs. The Wix Multilingual app is rated 3.0 out of 5 on the Wix App Market. With FolioPress, AI drafts are included without credits.
FolioPress vs Webflow
Webflow bills localization per language, on top of the site plan. The Essential tier ($9 per language) allows at most 3 languages and 10,000 AI words per language each month, without translated addresses; those need Advanced ($29 per language). A 3-language site costs $43 to $83 a month.
FolioPress vs Framer
Framer adds $20 a month for every extra language, and AI translation uses shared credits. Translated page addresses and hreflang are included. A 3-language site starts at $50 a month.
FolioPress vs WordPress
With WordPress you assemble the site yourself: hosting, a theme, a multilingual plugin and their updates. WPML costs €99 a year and includes 22,500 AI words, then charges per word. Polylang is free, but translated addresses and machine translation need Polylang Pro (€99 a year) and your own DeepL key.
FolioPress vs Ghost
Ghost is built for blogs and newsletters, but it has no multilingual mode: each site has one language, and Ghost's own documentation recommends one Ghost install per language, or a translation service such as Weglot. A site in 3 languages is three Ghost(Pro) subscriptions ($18 a month each on Starter, which doesn't allow custom themes), with no AI translation and no hreflang linking the languages. FolioPress keeps every language in one site, with translated addresses, hreflang and AI drafts included, for €19 a month.
FolioPress vs Hostinger Website Builder
Hostinger is inexpensive, but its builder allows at most 4 languages and translates nothing automatically: you duplicate each page and translate it yourself.
Why FolioPress
One product, a flat price: the website, hosting, themes, AI translation drafts, translated addresses and search setup, for €12 a month in two languages or €19 in all 44. Nothing to install, nothing to keep compatible, no bill that grows with your words.
